Artist Statement
My art explores the collision of various colors of glass and how it reacts together. I am fascinated with using repetitive patterns as a skeleton that organizes the composition. Sometimes using a combination of complex techniques and opposing patterns to create a dramatic effect that compels a second look.
With many hours spent cutting, fusing, annealing and molding glass to a final shape, I build an intimacy between the original inspiration and the unique piece of operative art.
